Elizabeth

Elizabeth is no ordinary dancing cabinet.

Elizabeth is dancing the waltz - in my opinion one of the most beautiful dances ever. It took her a while to learn it, but look at her now! Firm grip on the frame, head turned to the side and that dress! Dark green decorated with light gold elements along with floral decorations, you will hardly find a more beautiful dancer.

Originally I just wanted to try a cabinet with a turned top shelf. But then it reminded me of holding my head while dancing ballroom and the idea was there. I added shelves for hands, a beautiful dress and scuttling legs and she could go straight to the dance floor.

I took great care with the dress. I spent a long, long time choosing the color. I spent even longer time looking for and choosing suitable decorations. The dress is gilded. It was my first work with gold leaf and gold paint at all. It turned out pretty well, but it will take a little practice.

During production, I often played a selection of the best waltz melodies through my headphones. Do you know the one written by Sir Anthony Hopkins? It's called And the waltz goes on. Performed by André Rieu and his orchestra, I highly recommend listening to it.
