Mouse
The mouse is my first carving attempt.
I have always admired woodcarvers. My absolute carving idol is Oldřich Pliska . Under his hands, tree trunks come to life in the form of wolves, bears, lions, which are so convincing that it takes your breath away. Olda is a chainsaw carver, which is an incredible discipline in itself. I would really like to try this one too!
Anyway, I started from scratch. I bought a knife, a block of linden wood and started my first micro-attempt. Sure, there are many things that could be done better with the mouse, but I'm still very happy with it. It now sits on a shelf in our kitchen and every time I look at it, I remember how it was created. And how good it felt.
It is about 12 cm tall, painted with white Osmo wax, the eyes are small beads and the whiskers are hairs from an old paintbrush. The cheese in the photo is real :-)
